Skill | Delegation Success

When delegating work assignments, the process is almost always an opportunity to enhance the team and improve individual skills and knowledge.  The manager can see this as a platform for members of their team to get a chance to learn and demonstrate what they can do.   People want to learn and grow and it is motivating to take on assignments that challenge them outside their current skills.

Successful managers who have demonstrated the ability to get results through a strong, skilled team see assignment delegation in two ways.  Delegating effective work to achieve an objective and as a platform for employee growth and development. The sad truth is that most delegation misses the development opportunity.
