It has been clear to me for several years that the availability of quality training for Managers and Supervisors is core competencies, such as delegation skills, is just not readily available. Budget cuts, survival priorities, lack of commitment from company management all contribute to a lack of training focus. Consider just how important training on how to “plan-delegate-manage” is to both the manager and the Company. The success and advancement of most managers depends on competency in these three disciplines. Companies either assume you have it or if you need development and aren’t performing because you can’t get training…you may get passed by.
