Managers often overlook the tremendous growth opportunities available with many assignments and projects being delegated to members of the business Unit. Important assignments and actions steps are a daily process to reach objectives. That said, almost every assignment has opportunities for the employee to grow. A Manager who asks him/herself “what training opportunity is embedded in this assignment?” will have better results. Once identified, the manager needs to add the learning expectation of the assignment into how the assignment expectations are communicated. Employees will grow and get better execution results.
